Mastodon Chevy LS 160 Degree Thermostat

Mastodon 160-degree thermostat for Chevy LS engines. The 160°F (71°C) opening temperature is the cooler-running option — popular on boosted, nitrous, or high-compression LS builds where lower coolant temperature reduces detonation risk and lets the tuner add more timing safely.

Designed for the LS housing — fits LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7, and the 4.8/5.3/6.0/6.2 truck variants. Note: a cooler thermostat sets the minimum coolant temperature; combine with appropriate fan settings for best results.
